The Even-Yekara kennel, which translated from Hebrew into english means "precious stone", was established in Vienna, Austria, four years ago, and was transfered to israel two years ago. Each and every Griffon belonging to our Kennel is named after a precious stone.
Everything started one night on a train to Poland, during a strong snow storm, in the middle of the coldest night of winter!! Suddenly, in one moment, everything changed...The beautiful almond eyes of the most adorable little puppy named Ruby, crossed my path, and melted my heart.
After years of training, handling, showing, and raising different breeds, the entire family made the choice of raising and breeding a singular and particular breed that would fulfill all of our common desires within a breed...
The Griffon breed captured our hearts thanks to its beautiful demeanor, and particular attributes such as; alertness, courage, "joie de vivre" and its particularity in being one of the few breeds that has minimal hair shed...
Presently Even Yekara breeds all three griffon sub breeds.

With every day that passes, we count our blessings for having chosen this wonderful breed, as it has proven to be perfect for our dog loving needs.
In addition to the Griffons, we are happy to call amongst our family members 2 year old 'Alaska' a Black Russian Terrier brought directly from france, and 15 year old 'Tush', an International championship title holder Golden Retriever.
